The Flower Box was established in 1969 in Minot, ND and has been under the present management since 1978.
The staff of the Flower Box fluctuates as do the seasons. There are five full time employees, two to three part time, and one to two delivery drivers. When the holidays hit, the staff number increases to twenty to twenty-five. Flower Box is a professionally run business with a good reputation for servicing the public and providing a quality product.
The staff has on-going training in all aspects of the floral industry, including attending the Floral Design School in Holland and helping at the Floriade in Amsterdam, attending Wedding Design School and multiple seminars and state conventions. Many awards have been won by the Flower Box staff in Floral Design at state conventions and competitions.

Nancy
The company President, Nancy, has been with the company since 1978. She has attended many design workshops and has studied in Europe with some of the best Dutch designers. She is a member of SAF and the NDFA. She owns and manages the Flower Box and is the principle buyer.
Nancy is originally from Montana and was educated to be a teacher/coach which she was for many years. Her hobbies are fishing, farming, and riding her toy - a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Karen
Karen, also a native of North Dakota, is the accounts receivable, computer, Mercury, Dove and Credit Card Processing person. She also coordinates deliveries and keeps the employees on track. She has been a loyal employee for many years, and her experience is invaluable. Interesting note - she is also a former student and athlete of Nancy's.
Sally
Sally is a native of Minot, and has managed flower shops in Arizona and New York. She owned her own shop for over two years, and has been in the floral business for 33 years.
Shantel
Shantel is a native of Stanley, ND and has earned a Master's Degree in Art from the Academy of Art University. Her goal is to become a fully qualified designer.
Mattie
Mattie is a native of Oklahoma, and has been a stay-at-home mom for several years. She recently joined the Flower Box team and is catching on quickly.
Other Employees
Flower Box also employs a part time staff with several employees working towards being fully qualified floral designers. They help with all aspects of the floral business. They also attend in-house training sessions, workshops and state conventions.
Flower Box is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Association, NDFA, SAF, and FTD Association. The company actively supports the following community organizations:
